The AMT-700D performs leak detection based on the differential pressure method, which is one of the most popular and highest-precision sealing test techniques available. The instrument uses a high-precision differential pressure sensor to measure pressure changes between a reference volume and the test part. The reference volume can be either an internal standard cavity or a verified non-leaking part. Because the reference volume remains stable, this method effectively compensates for any environmental pressure or temperature changes that affect both sides simultaneously. Since the differential pressure sensor pressurizes both sides at the same time, extremely high measurement resolution and low-leak-rate detection capability are achieved. The static test pressure itself has little effect on the measurement result, while an integrated absolute or relative pressure sensor monitors the system test pressure and checks for major leaks, ensuring safe and reliable testing.
