The AMT-600F performs leak detection based on the mass flow method, a mature technology for solving testing challenges of large-volume workpieces and breathable products. The instrument uses a high-precision mass flow sensor. Clean compressed air at a specified pressure is filled into the workpiece and continuously maintained. If the workpiece has a leak, the flow sensor directly measures the instantaneous gas flow supplementing the workpiece – which is the actual leak rate, displayed intuitively in ml/min or SCCM. Because the test result of the mass flow method is independent of the workpiece volume, there is no need for long filling and stabilization times; the test cycle is short, making it especially suitable for high-throughput production line testing scenarios. A built-in pressure sensor simultaneously monitors the system pressure to ensure safe testing.
