Exhaust Discharge Device
In actual production of air tightness testing, the interior of the workpiece under test is often not completely dry and clean – contaminants such as oil, coolant residues, and water stains are common. If these impurities enter the testing instrument directly with the test gas, they will gradually contaminate the internal sensors and air circuits, leading to decreased accuracy, frequent misjudgments, and even equipment failure. The AMT Exhaust Discharge Device is specifically designed to solve this problem. It acts as an “isolation barrier” that effectively intercepts contaminants, protecting your testing instrument for long‑term stable operation.
Main parameters
The exhaust discharge device adopts a stand‑alone box structure and is installed in series at the inlet of the test air circuit – between the test workpiece and the testing instrument. During testing, the contaminated gas returning from the workpiece first enters the discharge device, where liquid impurities such as oil and water are efficiently separated and collected at the bottom of the box, while clean gas continues to flow to the testing instrument, ensuring the instrument remains clean inside.
Technical Advantage
Stand‑alone box – plug & play
No modification to the existing test equipment is required. Simply connect it to the test circuit inlet – easy installation, strong adaptability.
Efficient separation – protects instrument accuracy
A specially designed internal gas‑liquid separation structure intercepts most liquid contaminants, preventing accuracy drift and failures caused by sensor contamination, and extending instrument service life.
Transparent box – visible status
The box is made of high‑transparency, wear‑resistant material, making the liquid level visible at a glance, facilitating regular cleaning and maintenance.
Large contamination storage – reduces maintenance frequency
The bottom of the box has a storage area that can hold contaminants from multiple test cycles, eliminating the need for frequent emptying and improving production line efficiency.
Pressure‑resistant and leak‑tight – safe and reliable
The box and its connections are pressure‑tested and air‑tightness verified, capable of withstanding the working pressure of the test system with no risk of leakage.
Applicable scenarios
Particularly suitable for testing scenarios where “workpieces contain liquid”:
Engine blocks, cylinder heads: coolant or oil residues in water/oil passages
Transmission housings: internal lubricating oil after assembly
Hydraulic valve bodies, pump bodies: residual hydraulic oil before testing
Compressor housings: residual refrigeration oil
Cleaned parts: not completely dry workpieces
Maintenance and use
When the contaminant liquid level in the box approaches the upper limit, simply unscrew the bottom drain port to quickly discharge the collected oil‑water mixture – no need to disconnect piping. Maintenance is quick and simple.
Protect your instrument, protect your accuracy.
Install the AMT Exhaust Discharge Device on your leak tester – say goodbye to contamination worries and make every test true and reliable.
